FAQ
Does AuthentiGate see my ID?
No. Persona runs the check; the bot never sees the images. It keeps your date of birth, region and the sex on the document, all encrypted, and a one-way fingerprint of the document, designed to stop the same ID verifying more than one account. Your gender and pronouns, if you set them, are encrypted too.
Do I have to verify again in every server?
No. You verify once, and every server that uses AuthentiGate gives you its roles. A member who is already verified doesn't need a new ID check, so they don't use a server's verifications.
Can staff see my date of birth?
No. They only see your age band and region, and only if their server has roles for them.
How do I delete my data?
Run /delete_my_info, or press Delete my data in /profile. You can't verify again for 30 days afterwards. Servers' moderation cases about you are kept.
Does the bot read our messages?
It doesn't scan or monitor ordinary chat. Filtering is done by Discord's own AutoMod, and the spam trap only notices who posted in the trap channel. Message text is handled in only two places: a short excerpt a moderator attaches to a case as evidence, and ticket transcripts (coming soon), read once when a ticket closes.
Does it need Administrator?
No, and it never asks for it. See Getting started.
What's free?
Pronoun and gender roles, all moderation, logs, reports, appeals, most automation, and basic tickets. Every server also gets 5 free ID verifications a month, with the Verified, age and region roles, so you can try it before you buy. Premium gives more: 50 a month for $5.00, 150 for $10.00 (Premium Plus), 500 for $25.00 (Premium Max) or 1,000 for $40.00 (Premium Ultra).
Can I try verification before buying Premium?
Yes. Every server gets 5 verifications on us, every month. The count starts again on the 1st of each month (UTC).
Can we earn more free verifications?
Yes. Vote for us on Top.gg (once every 12 hours) to earn vote credits. Use /vote redeem in the server you want to boost, or set a home server once with /vote server. Every 4 votes add 1 verification to that server's monthly allowance, up to +5 a month. Unused credits roll over to later months. See /vote.
My moderators can't see the commands.
Allow their roles in Server Settings → Integrations → AuthentiGate. See Staff tiers.
Can I change the bot's language?
English is the only language in the bot today.
